In this article I will discuss five free methods to use to get more search engine traffic to your website. There are several different ways to generate search engine traffic to your website. In this article I would like to focus on generating free traffic.

By increasing your websites page ranking you will automatically get more traffic over time. By increasing your website page rank you will greatly enhance your websites activity. Increasing your page rank will not happen overnight. You can develop a system to implement the tactics we will discuss in this article. Back Linking

Having other websites linking back to your website is a great way of creating traffic, but it's not just back links in general, it's really more about where those back links are coming from. You can get quality back links to your website by visiting high ranking websites in your niche, and posting legitimate comments on their websites. Although this is a time-consuming process, you can get quality back links to your website. Whenever you post a legitimate comment on another website you are invited to leave your name and URL. It's important that your comment provides value to the website, or it will be considered spam and be deleted.

Videos

Video marketing is another great way to get back links to your website. Offering a video posted on sites such as YouTube is a unique way to get people interested in your subject matter. You can create a video that promotes your website, or you can turn your articles into videos. People love to watch videos and the more interesting and colorful your video the more likely people will come visit your website.

E-books

Offering visitors to your website a free e-book related to the subject matter of your website will help you attract more returning visitors. E-books can be downloaded onto a variety of handheld devices such as iPads, kindles, etc. Acquiring an eBook to give away on your website is relatively easy. There are many PLR (Pvt. Label rights) websites that will sell you a variety of e-books very inexpensively. Many times you can rebrand these books as your own, and add or remove content as you see fit.

Article Marketing

Article writing is one of my favorite ways to get search engine traffic. You write an article and you submitted to various article directories. When these articles are posted on the article directory you automatically get a back link to your website. Your article is made available to other website owners to post on their website. Every time your article is used you acquire another back link to your webpage.

Video Articles

You can easily turn all your articles into video podcasts, there are few very easy to use applications to help you do this. You'll have to buy any expensive equipment, and you will not personally have to stand in front of the camera to make your article into a video.

Generating free search engine traffic is going to take some time. If you consistently use these five methods to drive traffic to your website you will slowly see your page rank increase.

When using these different tactics you will find some that work better than others for you. When you find something that works you can use it on other sites as well. As you begin to achieve better page ranking you will automatically see an increase in search engine traffic.
