There is a new trend sweeping the nation, and there's no end in sight. Why are they so popular so suddenly? This is a cheaper, quicker place to grab a burrito on your lunch break, but somewhere to settle in for something exquisite, authentic, and rooted more directly in the cultures that it borrows from. There is something for everyone provided in a fusion food environment, for those who prefer mild to spicy, or only eat fish or vegetables, etc. - the menu allows for a huge amount of diversity and customization. Fusion food is about precision and fluidity, in tradition and modern expansion.

There is so much possible when you are ordering food that takes the best of several cultures and creates something entirely new from the components. It's all a learning process when it comes to patronage and every restaurant is going to do it differently. There is no standardized menu - again, this isn't a fast food phenomenon, or a chain brand - so you've got all of this room to experiment. The most important thing when it comes to Latin fusion restaurants is that all of them are going to be working on a very broad and exciting premise - to expand on the traditional and be unafraid to experiment to create dishes that expand upon, explore and reflect the incredible diversity of Latino identity itself.
