Freebie Sites are aggregators that search out freebies from around the marketplace and present them to visitors in an orderly way.
Good Freebie Sites take all the leg work out of searching for freebies and allow people to quickly and easily request free products and services from all sorts of companies.
It is important to understand that it is not the Freebie Site itself that offers the free products and services, rather, it is the companies they connect you to that make the offers.
Beware: Freebie Sites fall into two distinct categories.
The Good Ones
On the better Freebie Sites, you will find that when you click on a Freebie Offering, you are taken away from the Freebie Site and redirected to a third party Company Website. On the page you are redirected to, you can request your free product or service, quickly and easily. That's it, you're done!
The "Not So Good" Ones
On the "not so good" Freebie Sites, when you click on the Freebie Offering, you will either be taken to a page where you have to subscribe to the site's daily newsletter before you can access the offering, or, worse still, to a page full of ads where you may or may not find access to the freebie you are interested in!
Either way, you will find the experience is rather tiresome, and there is a good chance you will end up clicking away from the site before you have had the opportunity to request your freebie.
Good Freebie Sites find you legitimate free products and services, free samples and most importantly, they do their utmost to filter out scams and worthless offers in order to protect you.
Be aware that sometimes you won't receive the Freebie you requested, even though it was requested from a legitimate source.
The most important thing you need to understand is that you don't order a Freebie, you request one.
If you request a Freebie and never receive it, it does not mean that the company was not legitimate, or that the offer was bogus, or that it was a phishing exercise to get you to part with some of your personal information.
To understand why you will not receive all the free products and samples you request you need to understand that when a company makes a freebie offer, it is always for a limited number and is almost always distributed on a first come first served basis.
You have to remember that there is always a large number of people on the hunt for free stuff, so it is common for companies to receive more requests than the number of free products they have available. Sometimes, particularly for the most generous offers, the entire allotment is gone in a matter of hours!
The early bird catches the worm
This is a great analogy for freebies. If you're late in spotting a good freebie the chances are you will never get it because they will all be gone before you even request it!
The only way to stay on top of Freebie Offerings is to find a good Freebie Site, (you know the ones, one click to get to the request form), and either visit their website several times a day, or better still, join their freebie alert email list so you know about the latest freebies before the masses.
