They also have to be enrolled in at least 5 years of specialist postgraduate training. This trainingfor plastic and reconstructive surgery and is made available by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and overlooked by the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons Inc. (ASPS).This is a stage that they have to complete whichis also inclusive of patient safety training and practice.

The greatest qualification any surgeon should have is the code of ethics and conduct. It is the duty of any professional person to uphold ethics in the workplace and outside the workplace. Cosmetic Surgeons have to perform surgical operations with accredited, Medicare-certified, and state-licensed facilities.
